Call for Pitch Competition
The Ethiopia Climate Innovation Center (ECIC) is established by the World Bank’s infoDev Climate Technology Program to accelerate the development, deployment, and transfer of locally relevant climate technologies. The Center provides early stage financing and capacity building services to enable local enterprises to proactively and profitably develop innovative climate technology solutions that meet local needs. The ECIC operates with support from the United Kingdom’s UKAid as well as the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and in line with the Government of Ethiopia’s Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) strategy. The Ethiopia Climate Innovation Center (ECIC) is implemented by a consortium led by the Horn of Africa Regional Environment Center and Network (HoA-REC&N) of Addis Ababa University.
The Ethiopia CIC aims to provide a holistic set of early-stage financing, business support and capacity building services to the Ethiopian private sector, working to develop, launch and grow innovative climate technology ventures that promote Ethiopia’s Climate Resilience and Green Economy.
The Ethiopia Climate Innovation Center (ECIC) is now inviting climate technology individual entrepreneurs, startup companies or growth companies to participate in a Pitch Competition.
